Packaging Shift Lead

We're looking for a motivated and experienced Packaging Shift Lead to join our team. If you're passionate about production leadership, team development, quality, and operational excellence, this is a great opportunity to grow your career with one of the world's leading trading card manufacturers.

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

🔹 Summary

The Packaging Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day packaging line activities to ensure products are assembled, packed, and processed accurately, safely, and efficiently.

This role serves as a working leader who supports production teams by coordinating staffing assignments, monitoring quality, training employees, and ensuring production goals are met. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


🔹 What You'll Do

  • Review job tickets and production specifications before beginning production.
  • Verify materials and components match customer and production requirements.
  • Conduct first-off inspections and quality checks throughout production.
  • Assign team members and temporary associates to workstations based on skill and production needs.
  • Train, mentor, and support employees on packaging line processes and best practices.
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and line performance.
  • Identify and address production bottlenecks and workflow challenges.
  • Coordinate material replenishment to prevent interruptions in production.
  • Ensure products are packaged accurately and according to specifications.
  • Promote compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence efforts.

🔹 What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing, packaging, printing, or production environments.
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience required.
  • Packaging, paper production, or print manufacturing experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and employee coaching skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and job specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and packaging processes preferred.
  • Ability to lead by example and drive performance.
