Opportunity Details We are actively recruiting a skilled Pathologist to join our established, high-volume team in McAllen, TX. This hospital-employed position offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to join an expanding pathology group, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality diagnostic services within a collaborative and supportive practice environment. STHS has 10 CAP labs. Quick Facts• Employment Type: Full-time, hospital-employed physician position• Schedule / Hours: Standard hospital pathology schedule• Call: As required for pathology coverage• Patient Volume: High-volume acute care facility with growing demand for diagnostic pathology services • Location: McAllen/Edinburg, Texas (Rio Grande Valley) • Practice Setting: South Texas Health System, state-of-the-art pathology laboratory• Support / Care Team: Collaborative pathology group with an expanding team, laboratory technologists, and support staff • EMR / Technology: Cerner EMR with advanced clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory equipment Responsibilities• Provide comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology services to a diverse patient population• Collaborate with the pathology group, clinicians, and laboratory staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic services• Participate in diagnostic evaluations, reporting, and quality assurance activities• Document findings and maintain accurate records within the hospital’s EMR system Compensation & Benefits• Salary: Competitive base salary • Sign-on / Relocation: Signing bonus and relocation assistance available• Health, Dental, Vision & Retirement: Comprehensive insurance coverage including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match• PTO, CME & Schedule Flexibility: Paid time off and CME allowance included• Wellness & Work-Life Balance Support: Malpractice insurance coverage, employee stock purchase plan Qualifications• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain Texas licensure• Spanish language skills beneficial but not required Growth & Development• Join an expanding pathology group within a well-established hospital system• Access to extensive resources through Universal Health Services (UHS)• Opportunities for leadership, academic involvement, and professional growth• Work with advanced diagnostic technology in a modern laboratory setting About the Organization & CommunityLaredo Physicians Group partners with Doctors Hospital of Laredo to deliver comprehensive medical services throughout the region.
