Office Location: Portage, MI (hybrid) Employment Type: Full-time regular (40 hours per week; M-F) Your Role at Walker In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This role requires a strong attention to detail, knowledge of payroll regulations, and proficiency in payroll software. Responsibilities Review timesheets and process payroll accurately for hourly and salaried employees. Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including personal information, tax withholdings, deductions, and benefits. Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and benefits. Maintain payroll files and records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements. Assist with payroll audits and reconciliations. Utilize payroll software to process payroll and generate reports. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate payroll data. Qualifications Education Requirements: An associate's degree is preferred. Other Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in Payroll, Accounting or Finance. 1+ year of data entry experience preferred, ideally in payroll or accounting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Work Environment: This role typically operates in an office environment, with occasional travel required for meetings or training sessions. A hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office) schedule is available after initial training and onboarding.
