Position Overview As a Peer Support Specialist, you will provide mentorship and support to individuals receiving treatment for substance use and mental health challenges. Your lived experience and recovery journey will serve as a foundation to empower and guide others in developing healthy coping strategies, building resilience, and achieving personal goals. Key Responsibilities Offer peer-based support to clients in individual and group settings Use lived experience to build trust and inspire hope in recovery Help clients navigate community resources and develop life skills Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and other team members Assist clients in setting and achieving personal recovery goals Promote self-advocacy and empower clients to take charge of their wellness Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions Qualifications Must have lived experience with substance use recovery Ability to share your recovery journey in a professional and supportive way Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Driver's License High school diploma or GED Peer Support Certification (or willingness to obtain) Must be able to pass a background check and meet state/federal requirements What We Offer ✔ Competitive Pay ✔ Supportive, mission-driven work environment ✔ Opportunities for training and professional development ✔ Temporary staff housing available ✔ The chance to make a real impact in the lives of others Join us in making a difference!
