We’re seeking our first People Operations Generalist to own and evolve the people infrastructure of RoboForce. This role owns processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding/offboarding, compensation, benefits, compliance, and employee experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive People Operations experience in high-growth, technical companies (robotics, hardware, AI), and has operated with a high degree of autonomy while partnering closely with founders and senior leaders. You bring strong judgment and execution discipline, building structure where needed while preserving speed, accountability, and culture. Responsibilities Employee Lifecycle Operations: Own and continuously improve onboarding, employee changes, leave administration, workplace accommodations, and offboarding processes, ensuring a consistent and high-quality employee experience. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and practical, stage-appropriate People policies; serve as a trusted contact for employee questions and support the documentation and escalation of sensitive employee relations matters. Payroll, Compensation, and Benefits: Manage accurate and timely payroll and timekeeping operations in partnership with Finance and external providers, including employee changes and wage-and-hour compliance. Administer benefits programs, enrollment, renewals, employee support, and vendor relationships, while supporting leadership with compensation benchmarking, review-cycle administration, and compensation data. Employee Experience and Culture: Develop and coordinate employee engagement, recognition, and workplace experience programs that help employees feel supported, productive, and connected. Reinforce RoboForce’s values through consistent People practices and internal communications, gather employee feedback, and recommend practical improvements to the employee experience. Recruiting Operations: Coordinate recruiting operations, including offer documentation, background checks, pre-employment requirements, and the transition from candidate to employee. Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and Finance to maintain accurate hiring and headcount information and ensure recruiting processes and documentation are consistent and compliant. People Systems and Compliance: Administer and continuously improve the HRIS, payroll, benefits, and related People systems while maintaining accurate, secure, and confidential employee data and reporting. Manage the People compliance calendar—including required filings, audits, notices, training, employment eligibility, and recordkeeping—and coordinate immigration cases with employees, leadership, and external counsel. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of experience in People Operations, Human Resources, or a related role, preferably within a technology startup or high-growth company. Broad, hands-on experience across payroll, benefits, compliance, employee lifecycle operations, immigration, and employee experience. Experience administering HRIS, payroll, benefits, and related People systems. Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and HR practices, with the judgment to identify risks and escalate issues appropriately. Experience supporting immigration processes and coordinating with external counsel. Strong judgment, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment. Ability to work independently while partnering closely with company leaders and cross-functional teams. Requires 5 days/week in-office collaboration with the teams. Bonus Qualifications Experience supporting both high-growth startups and established technology companies. Experience in robotics, hardware, artificial intelligence, manufacturing, or another technical environment. HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or an equivalent credential. Compensation: Salary $105,000–$145,000 USD + Bonus + Equity The base salary range above represents the expected compensation for this full-time U.S. position. Final compensation will be determined based on role scope, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training, and may fall outside the listed range in exceptional cases.
