Serves as the technical authority and architecture lead for IT/OT network and infrastructure capabilities supporting PGS manufacturing operations. The role defines standards, drives lifecycle planning and provides strategic direction for infrastructure investment, modernisation and transformation initiatives.

This role covers architecture and infrastructure strategy for IT and OT network environments across PGS manufacturing sites, providing design authority for new sites, acquisitions/closures/divestitures, major network changes, segmentation and infrastructure modernisation. The role links short-term project design decisions to long-term infrastructure strategy, lifecycle and operational supportability.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recognized as SME and architecture authority for IT/OT network and infrastructure designs, ensuring alignment with global standards, PANS expectations and operational support models.

  • Leads/co-leads design for new site builds, ACD activities, major infrastructure changes, cyber uplift programmes and segmentation initiatives.

  • Develops ideas for reference architectures, engineering guardrails and reusable patterns for routing, switching, firewalling, segmentation, remote access and hybrid connectivity.

  • Drive infrastructure rationalisation and standardisation to reduce technical debt, improve supportability and simplify the site network estate.

  • Own lifecycle planning for network hardware and software, including EOSL/EOL remediation, refresh planning, budget inputs and long-term roadmaps.

  • Works independently to partner with site and above-site stakeholders, prioritising infrastructure investment based on risk, business criticality, lifecycle status and strategic alignment

  • Applies advanced knowledge of network and infrastructure architecture to provide technical review and challenge for project designs, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and maintainable.

  • Identify innovation and shared-solution opportunities that can be scaled across the manufacturing network.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, and 6+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Deep knowledge of enterprise networking, OT/ICS architecture, routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation and hybrid connectivity.

  • Strong Cisco, Palo Alto, SD-WAN and infrastructure lifecycle management experience.

  • Ability to create practical architecture standards that can be adopted consistently across global manufacturing sites.

  • Strong capital planning, technical risk management and transformation delivery experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to balance architecture control with delivery pace and operational realities.

  • Experience with new-site builds, acquisitions/closures/divestitures (ACD) or major infrastructure change programs.

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto certifications, or similar network architecture credentials.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Role provides design authority and lifecycle leadership across the PGS manufacturing network, including new-site builds, ACD activities and major infrastructure change programmes. Role may require travel for site, network, vendor, or capital-project engagements, and periodic off-hours support for major change windows or critical infrastructure events.


Work Location Assignment: Hybrid.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $207,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
