Role Description The Pharmacist role at Shoppers Drug Mart in Lloydminster, AB is a full-time, on-site position focused on providing safe, accurate, and patient-centered pharmacy services. Day-to-day responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions, reviewing medication therapies, and counselling patients on proper use, side effects, and interactions. The Pharmacist collaborates with other health care professionals, maintains regulatory and company standards, and supports clinical services such as vaccinations and health consultations. Additional responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory body in Alberta, with eligibility to practice in community pharmacy settings.
• Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, and patient counselling, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and medication safety.
• Proficiency in prescription processing, pharmacy management systems, and documentation, with attention to detail and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse patients, caregivers, and health care professionals in a respectful and inclusive manner.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and contribute positively to a collaborative pharmacy team.
