Physical Therapist – Full Time

Salinas Valley Post Acute | Salinas, California

Come Practice Physical Therapy the Way It Was Meant to Be

At Salinas Valley Post Acute, we believe great physical therapy starts with time, trust, and meaningful relationships.

We are looking for a full-time Physical Therapist who wants to provide hands-on, individualized care in a supportive environment where you can truly get to know your patients and see the difference you make in their lives.

Our rehabilitation department is built around direct, one-on-one patient care rather than high-volume treatment. You will work closely with patients throughout their recovery, helping them regain strength, mobility, independence, and confidence.

Just as importantly, Salinas Valley Post Acute has a strong community feel. Our therapists, nurses, physicians, CNAs, patients, and families work together every day, and our rehabilitation team is an integral part of the building. You are not just treating a patient for an appointment—you become part of their recovery journey.

Why Join Our Therapy Team?
  • Direct one-on-one patient care
  • Time to develop meaningful relationships with your patients
  • A supportive, close-knit rehabilitation department
  • Strong collaboration with nursing, physicians, and other disciplines
  • Diverse and medically interesting patient population
  • Opportunity to work with orthopedic, neurological, medically complex, and geriatric patients
  • Ability to follow patients through multiple stages of their recovery
  • A rehabilitation program focused on quality of care—not simply treatment volume
  • Experienced clinical leadership and a team-oriented environment
  • The opportunity to make a visible impact within the facility and the Salinas community
What You’ll Do

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of functional and mobility needs while developing individualized plans of care designed around each patient's goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing comprehensive physical therapy evaluations
  • Developing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing hands-on therapeutic interventions and exercise
  • Addressing strength, balance, gait, mobility, endurance, and functional independence
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as patients improve
  • Educating patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process
  • Collaborating closely with occupational therapy, speech therapy, nursing, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Helping patients safely transition to their next level of care and return to the community
Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a therapist who enjoys working with people and values both clinical excellence and personal connection.

Qualifications:

  • Current or eligible California Physical Therapist license
  • Strong clinical reasoning and patient-care skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to treatment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Interest in geriatric, orthopedic, neurological, and medically complex rehabilitation

Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, acute care, or home health is helpful, but new graduates and therapists coming from other settings are encouraged to apply.

A Different Kind of Therapy Environment

If you became a Physical Therapist because you wanted to work directly with patients, build relationships, and help people regain their independence, we would love to meet you.

Come join a rehabilitation team where you can know your patients by name, collaborate with a team that knows you by name, and see the impact of your work every day.
