Physical Therapist (PT) - Early Intervention

Role Overview

The Physical Therapist, Early Intervention, provides specialized services to children aged birth to three, including assessment, treatment, program planning, documentation, and communication with families and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and perform six-month reviews aligned with IFSP goals.
• Communicate findings to parents and treatment team, and adapt plans as needed.
• Coordinate with other professionals through co-treatment and consultation to ensure comprehensive care.
• Develop home and community programs to support child development.
• Recommend and instruct on the use of adaptive devices and orthotics for children and train caregivers.
• Supervise students and mentor team members, ensuring quality and effectiveness of services.
• Engage families in education about progress and strategies for ongoing support.
• Maintain timely documentation and communicate caseload status with management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Appropriate State License.
• Willingness to work with medically fragile children for some referrals.
