Wyoming Health Resources Network (WHRN) is recruiting a Physician Anesthesiologist for Campbell County Health, a Level III Trauma Center located in Gillette, Wyoming.

This is a hospital-employed, W-2 opportunity offering a $550,000 guaranteed annual salary, additional paid call compensation, generous time off, and a rewarding practice environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $550,000 guaranteed annual salary
  • $1,200 per day for paid call
  • Potential annual cash compensation of approximately $650,000+ with paid call
  • 1:4 call rotation
  • Guaranteed post-call day off
  • 8 weeks of vacation
  • 1 additional week of CME
  • $5,000 annual CME allowance
  • $30,000 sign-on bonus
  • $15,000 relocation assistance
  • Up to $100,000 toward a home purchase or student loan repayment

Surgical Volume & Practice Environment

Enjoy a balanced anesthesiology practice at a Level III Trauma Center performing approximately 2,200 surgical cases annually.

  • Average weekday surgical volume: Approximately 8 cases
  • Average weekend surgical volume: 1–2 cases per day
  • Patient acuity: Primarily ASA I, II, and III
  • No cardiac surgery
  • No neurosurgery
  • No dedicated vascular surgery

The hospital continues to expand its surgical services while maintaining a manageable surgical volume.

Diverse Surgical Case Mix

  • 40% General Surgery
  • 38% Orthopedics
  • 11% OB/GYN
  • 6% ENT
  • 5% Urology

The orthopedic service performs more than 230 total joint replacements annually, including hip, knee, and shoulder procedures.

General Surgery includes elective, robotic, laparoscopic, and emergent procedures.

Additional anesthesia responsibilities include labor epidurals, select MRI sedation, and certain cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.

Obstetric Anesthesia

The Hospital Recorded 633 Deliveries In 2025, Including

  • Approximately 68% epidural utilization
  • 20.32% overall Cesarean delivery rate
  • 9.98% NTSV Cesarean delivery rate

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an anesthesiology residency
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in anesthesiology
  • Eligible for Wyoming medical licensure
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to high-quality patient care
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
