Physician, Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine

At NorthBay Health the Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine Physician provides comprehensive outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine services, with a strong emphasis on the diagnosis and management of sleep-related disorders in an ambulatory setting. This position focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for adults with pulmonary and sleep conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team to optimize patient outcomes. Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Outpatient only Daily Patient Census: Average 18-20 patients per day Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art medical equipment and comprehensive resources Provider Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) Primary Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine care to adult patients. Diagnose and manage a broad range of pulmonary conditions including asthma, COPD, chronic cough, interstitial lung disease, and other respiratory disorders. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, restless leg syndrome, and circadian rhythm disorders. Interpret and manage diagnostic testing including pulmonary function tests (PFTs), home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), polysomnography, and other pulmonary and sleep-related studies. Manage PAP therapy, including CPAP and BiPAP treatment plans and compliance monitoring. Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, respiratory therapists, sleep technologists, and clinical staff to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and families regarding pulmonary and sleep conditions, treatment plans, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development activities as appropriate Collaborate with and supervise APPs to enhance patient care Qualifications: MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine. Active and unrestricted California medical license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
