Physicist

I'm looking to hire an Experimental AMO Physicist for a full-stack Quantum Computing Start up Company with over $130 million dollars in funding. You will play a key role in building and operating cutting-edge experimental platforms for qubit control, measurement, and scaling. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, creative problem-solving, and collaborating across disciplines to make new quantum technologies a reality. Please note this role is a fully onsite position.

What You'll Work On

• Design, construct, and characterize precision optical and/or cryogenic systems for quantum experiments.
• Understand and implement protocols for qubit preparation, control, and readout.
• Integrate control electronics, laser or rf and microwave systems, and data acquisition.
• Analyze experimental results and optimize system performance.
• Cross-team collaboration to guide system design and development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ultracold/Rydberg atoms.
• First-hand experience with optical tweezers.
• Experience building a laser or vacuum system from scratch.
• Familiarity with qubit control, spectroscopy, or precision measurement techniques.
• Strong background in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific problem solving.
• Experience with Python or similar tools for experiment automation.

Requirements

• PhD in AMO Physics / Physics (or any other relevant area). Please note that this role is looking to hire immediately, so PhDs must be completed by January at the latest to be considered.
• You MUST already be located and living within the United States.
