We’re working with a rapidly scaling AI company building autonomous digital workers that help enterprise organizations execute complex, high-value business processes. Its technology brings together advanced AI, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and enterprise integrations, allowing AI agents to securely interact with the applications, data, and communication systems businesses rely on every day.

As a Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and scaling the infrastructure layer behind these AI-powered deployments. You’ll have broad ownership across cloud systems, platform services, security, identity, enterprise connectivity, developer infrastructure, and production reliability. This is a highly hands-on opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working across traditional infrastructure and application boundaries.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and scale infrastructure that enables reliable deployment and operation of AI-powered applications within enterprise environments.
  • Build foundational platform capabilities for authentication, authorization, identity, permissions, RBAC, access controls, and comprehensive audit trails.
  • Develop infrastructure and services that connect AI agents with workplace platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Teams, Zoom, email, and voice systems.
  • Build backend integrations and secure connectors for critical enterprise applications including NetSuite, SharePoint, Google Drive, SAP, Oracle, and similar systems.
  • Create internal frameworks and tooling that streamline provisioning, configuration, deployment, and management of customer environments.
  • Own cloud infrastructure and production systems, including deployments, observability, monitoring, incident response, and reliability.
  • Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks as the platform expands to support additional customers and increasingly complex workloads.
  • Partner closely with AI and software engineers to develop APIs, backend services, internal tooling, and infrastructure components.
  • Automate repetitive infrastructure and deployment workflows to accelerate customer implementations and production launches.
  • Design and implement security mechanisms around access, isolation, data protection, compliance, and system auditability.
  • Help define the architecture and engineering standards that will support the company’s next stage of growth.
  • Lead technical initiatives through the full lifecycle, from architecture and design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing ownership.
  • Contribute to broader technical decisions and help establish scalable engineering practices across the organization.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in computer science, software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical discipline; Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and operating production software, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems.
  • Experience building backend, infrastructure, or platform systems where scalability, reliability, and performance are critical.
  • Strong knowledge of identity and access management, authentication, authorization, RBAC, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Experience building integrations with enterprise SaaS products, productivity platforms, communication systems, or other business-critical software.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud environments, production deployments, observability, monitoring, incident response, and on-call operations.
  • Comfortable working across infrastructure and application layers to diagnose and solve complex engineering problems.
  • Strong technical judgment and a practical approach to designing maintainable, production-grade systems.
  • Ability to independently drive projects from initial architecture and technical design through production ownership.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance frameworks, SOC 2, access governance, data security, or vendor security processes is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering teams.
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment where priorities move quickly and engineers are given significant autonomy.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $225,000 – $280,000, depending on experience
  • Location: San Francisco, CA, Hybrid
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
  • 401(k)
  • Visa sponsorship
  • Significant ownership of infrastructure and platform architecture
  • High visibility and the opportunity to shape foundational systems at a rapidly growing AI company
