Prepress Operator

Join Millennium Print Group as a Prepress Operator!

We're looking for an experienced Prepress Operator to join our team. If you're passionate about print production, graphic file preparation, digital workflows, and quality excellence, this is an exciting opportunity to grow your career with one of the world's leading trading card manufacturers.

Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

🔹 Summary

The Prepress Operator is responsible for preparing customer artwork and print files for production by ensuring all files are accurate, properly formatted, and production-ready.

This role supports the pre-production process through proofing, imposition, file preparation, and plate output while helping maintain exceptional quality standards and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills to support a high-volume print manufacturing environment.


🔹 What You'll Do

  • Review customer artwork, job tickets, and production specifications.
  • Preflight files to ensure artwork is complete and production-ready.
  • Create layouts and perform file impositions to optimize production.
  • Prepare and generate customer proofs for approval.
  • Edit and adjust production files to meet printing and finishing requirements.
  • Output printing plates using Kodak and Esko/DuPont systems.
  • Verify crop marks, die lines, color breaks, page positions, and production specifications.
  • Identify and resolve file-related issues before production.
  • Collaborate with Client Services, Account Management, and Production teams.
  • Maintain quality standards while minimizing waste and rework.
  • Support workflow improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and compliance requirements.

🔹 What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of experience in a commercial print or prepress environment.
  • Experience in packaging, printing, publishing, or graphic production preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite:
    • Acrobat
    • InDesign
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
  • Experience with Kodak Prinergy/InSite, Preps, EFI Metrix, Pandora, or similar workflow software preferred.
  • Strong understanding of printing, proofing, imposition, and prepress workflows.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with common business software and production systems.
