About the Role
Lead analog and mixed-signal IC design for an early-stage AI hardware company developing chips for probabilistic computing. You will work across circuit design, chip architecture, and lab validation to help translate new computing approaches into silicon.
What You'll Do
Design analog and mixed-signal blocks such as ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, SerDes, oscillators, and dividers for upcoming chip tape-outs.
Own significant parts of chip architecture and potentially lead the design of an upcoming chip.
Perform hands-on layout and design verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS.
Collaborate with IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams to implement probabilistic computing concepts in silicon.
Support lab testing and validation of fabricated chips using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
What We're Looking For
6 to 20 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design, including work on mixed-signal blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, or SerDes.
An MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on circuits or IC design.
Experience completing multiple tape-outs, including work with FinFET or 28nm/65nm CMOS processes.
Strong CMOS circuit design skills and proficiency with Cadence simulation, including PEX, Monte Carlo, and corner analysis.
Hands-on layout experience and the flexibility to contribute beyond a narrow circuit specialization.
Experience with Python or C is useful for working across the hardware stack.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $200,000 to $325,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in Boston, Massachusetts.
