About the Role
Join an early-stage AI hardware company developing chips for probabilistic computing. As a Principal Analog/Mixed Signal Engineer, you will lead circuit design and contribute to chip architecture, working across engineering disciplines to bring new computing approaches to silicon.
What You'll Do
Design analog and mixed-signal blocks, including ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, high-speed serializers and deserializers, oscillators, and dividers.
Own substantial parts of chip architecture and potentially lead design for an upcoming chip.
Perform hands-on layout and design verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS.
Collaborate with IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams to translate probabilistic computing concepts into silicon implementations.
Help test and validate fabricated chips using lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
What We're Looking For
6 to 20 years of analog and mixed-signal IC design experience, including work on blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, or SerDes.
Strong CMOS circuit design expertise and experience completing multiple tape-outs, including at FinFET or 28nm/65nm process nodes.
An MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering focused on circuits or IC design.
Proficiency with Cadence simulation, including PEX, Monte Carlo, and corner analysis.
Hands-on layout experience and willingness to work across tasks beyond a narrow specialty in a startup environment.
Experience with Python or C is useful.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $200,000 to $325,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
