Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Principal Embedded Software Engineer now needed in Bristol contributing to architecture, design, and implementation of safety-critical embedded software. This role involves technical leadership within projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high standards of software quality and compliance with safety standards.

**Salary to £75k plus benefits, hybrid working, visa support**

I am seeking an experienced Principal Embedded Engineer with 10 years plus expertise in the following areas:

• Strong experience in embedded systems design and development.
• Proficiency in C and assembler.
• strong experience with Real-Time Operating Systems
• Familiarity with safety-critical software development standards (e.g., IEC 61508, DO 178B/C, ISO26262, IEC 62304).
• Experience in software development within a controlled development environment.
• Low-level embedded engineering experience (e.g., Cortex M3, M4, A7).
• Networking protocols
• Embedded software security and multicore device development.
• Experience in software requirements and configuration management.
• Experience in managing projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
