Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Engineer Electronics - Weapons Responsible Engineer . This onsite position can e performed in Oklahoma City, OK or Melbourne, FL. Essential Functions: Performing and executing Statement of Work (SOW) as a Responsible Engineer (RE) for Weapons Avionics Subsystem(s) Responsibilities include the ability to manage the program requirements to ensure supplier compliance with program and AV design, test, document and Avionics Radar subsystems hardware requirements Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications Collaborate with Subcontract engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements. Work to develop design solutions for obsolete hardware. Travel up to 25% This position may be filled at either the Principal OR Sr. Principal level, depending upon the qualifications below. Basic Qualifications: Basic qualifications for a Principal Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with no experience. Basic qualifications for a Sr. Principal Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 8 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with 3 years of experience. Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Preferred Qualifications: Active US Government Secret clearance Active Special Program Access (SAP) Primary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $139,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $116,300.00 - $174,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
