Principal Product Manager - Pricing Product (all genders)

THE ROLE AND THE TEAM At Zalando pricing systems are a core element of our commercial operation. We are in charge of price optimisation across several business cases such as stock optimisation, competitive pricing and vouchers. Guiding our business to commercial success requires state of the art forecasting and optimization tools to recommend optimal prices for these products, set up a competitive price environment and to ensure that we have the right level of logistics capacity to fulfill customer demand. As Principal Product Manager ML - Pricing Platform, you will work with engineering, operations research, and machine learning teams to build the engineering backbone for our sophisticated forecasting and optimization products that drive our pricing decisions. In an agile development process, you will understand stakeholder needs, work with the engineering and operations research teams to come up with solutions, drive delivery and prioritise development. Ultimately, you’re the one responsible for delivering the right product, even if that means challenging existing processes and setups. As the key interface between Business, Engineering and Data Science, your decisions will impact the millions of Zalando shoppers and the daily prices they see on our platform, having a direct and measurable impact on the bottom line of our business. Work with the team and stakeholders to develop and prioritize epics and user stories Lead the delivery with engineering, operations research, and data science teams in an agile development process WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF Product management experience on a lead/principal level, owning a long-term vision and roadmap, using a data-driven approach to identify problems and guide the implementation of solutions in line with the vision Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand, analyze, and clearly communicate business problems and priorities to engineering teams and business stakeholders Very good understanding of econometrics, math, and statistics as well as Python/SQL skills Experience in machine learning and data science/engineering Preferred Masters/PHD in economics or a science related field OUR OFFER Zalando provides a range of benefits, here’s an overview of what you can expect.
