PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The chef will be responsible for independently planning, preparing and presenting nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to the Principal's lifestyle, daily schedule, dietary preferences, training demands and performance goals.

This position requires an experienced and discreet private chef with strong knowledge of performance-focused nutrition, excellent culinary skills and the ability to provide variety without compromising health, quality or flavour.

Qualifications / Certifications

• Professional culinary qualification from a recognised culinary institution
• Qualification or certification in sports nutrition, performance nutrition or nutritional cooking highly regarded
• Food Safety and Hygiene certification
• Additional training in dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances highly regarded
  
  

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a professional chef
• Previous experience as a Private Chef, Performance Chef, Sports Chef or Nutrition-Focused Chef
• Experience supporting an athlete, executive or highly active private individual strongly preferred
• Proven experience independently planning and preparing personalised daily menus
• Strong background in healthy, performance-focused and nutritionally balanced cuisine
• Experience working within a private household, luxury residence, professional sporting environment or wellness-focused setting highly regarded
  
  

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Strong understanding of performance nutrition and healthy eating principles
• Ability to develop meals around the Principal's training schedule, energy requirements and personal goals
• Knowledge of macronutrients, portion control, hydration and recovery-focused nutrition
• Confident preparing high-protein, nutrient-dense and well-balanced meals
• Ability to accommodate food allergies, intolerances and specific dietary requirements
• Excellent menu planning, food preparation and presentation skills
• Ability to provide creative and varied meals while following nutritional guidelines
• Strong knowledge of premium ingredients, seasonal produce and healthy cooking techniques
• Excellent kitchen organisation, hygiene and food-safety standards
• Fluent English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage all aspects of the kitchen
  
  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and prepare all meals exclusively for the Principal
• Develop personalised menus aligned with the Principal's lifestyle, preferences and performance goals
• Adjust meals according to training intensity, travel, recovery needs and changes to the Principal's schedule
• Prepare nutritious breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, smoothies and recovery meals as required
• Maintain variety and creativity while ensuring meals remain healthy, balanced and enjoyable
• Monitor dietary preferences, likes, dislikes, allergies and intolerances
• Maintain appropriate portion control and nutritional balance
• Liaise with the Principal and, where applicable, personal trainers, nutritionists, medical professionals or household management
• Source high-quality, fresh and seasonal ingredients
• Manage food purchasing, stock rotation, storage and kitchen supplies
• Maintain an exceptionally clean, organised and hygienic kitchen
• Minimise food waste and manage kitchen expenditure responsibly
• Maintain complete confidentiality regarding the Principal's lifestyle, health, preferences and household affairs
• Remain flexible to accommodate changing schedules, meal times and personal requirements
• Perform any other reasonable culinary duties associated with the position
  
  

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Exclusive responsibility for one Principal
• Working schedule to be confirmed
• Flexibility will be required according to the Principal's schedule
• International or domestic travel may be required
• Live-in or live-out arrangement to be confirmed
