About the Role

Rapidus is working in collaboration with IBM to develop cutting-edge semiconductor technologies at the 2nm process node and beyond. Beginning in 2025, we are launching domestic manufacturing operations in Japan, including pilot production and volume manufacturing.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of advanced logic semiconductor technologies at the 2nm generation and beyond, as well as manufacturing technology development for mass production at our fabrication facility in Japan.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and introducing manufacturing equipment for semiconductor wafer fabrication, testing, and assembly processes, including areas such as Dry Etch, Diffusion, CVD, PVD, Wet Processes, and related production technologies

Transferring newly developed processes into high-volume manufacturing

Improving productivity, yield, cost efficiency, and quality within the manufacturing facility

Evaluating equipment capacity and performance to support future fab expansion and optimize capital investment

Developing and implementing next-generation manufacturing technologies, including ultra-short turnaround time (TAT) production lines and fully automated manufacturing lines

Required

Degree from a Technical College (KOSEN) or University in:

• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Preferred

• Experience in equipment design, development, installation, start-up, or continuous improvement activities at a semiconductor device manufacturer or semiconductor equipment manufacturer
• Experience in process optimization, process characterization, yield improvement, productivity enhancement, or cost reduction within semiconductor wafer fabrication, testing, or assembly environments
• Experience providing field support or working on manufacturing process technologies at a semiconductor equipment company
• Experience related to automated material handling systems (AMHS), factory automation, or AI-driven manufacturing solutions
• Experience working for a semiconductor company or equipment manufacturer within the past three years
• TOEIC score of 600 or above
• Business-level Japanese language proficiency

ポジション概要

弊社はIBM社と連携して2nmプロセス半導体の技術開発を推進しており、2025年から国内工場立ち上げ、試作、量産を行っていきます。

国内工場において、2nm世代、及びBeyond 2nmの先端ロジック開発及び、量産化技術業務を担当します。

具体的には、半導体ウェーハ工程、テスト工程、組立工程の生産設備（DRY・DIFF・CVD・PVD・WET・工程等）の開発・導入、開発されたプロセスの量産への移行、国内工場の生産性改善、歩留改善、コストダウン、品質改善を行う仕事です。

また、工場拡張に伴う適正な設備投資を行うための装置能力検証、超TATライン、完全自動化ラインのための技術開発、導入を行います。

応募資格

【必須】

・高等専門学校、大学で、電気・電子・機械を学んでいた経験

【歓迎】

・半導体デバイス／装置メーカでの生産設備の設計・開発、立上げ・改善活動の経験

・半導体デバイスメーカ（半導体ウェーハ工程、テスト工程、組立工程）でのプロセス改善、 条件だし、歩留向上、生産性向上、コスト削減の経験

・半導体装置メーカでのフィールドサポートや生産プロセス技術全般の経験

・自動搬送、AIに関わる業務経験者

・直近3年以内での半導体企業、装置メーカーでの勤務経験

・TOEIC 600点以上

・ビジネスレベルの日本語力
