Job Description

Our partner is looking for a Procurement Manager with an engineering background to manage commercial relationships with EMS partners and electronic component suppliers.

The role focuses on supplier selection, commercial negotiation, cost control, logistics, supply continuity and procurement strategy across electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.

Location: Barcelona, Spain, Hybrid
Level: Mid

Responsibilities

  • Define sourcing and supplier strategy

  • Lead RFQ and RFP processes

  • Select and manage EMS and component suppliers

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, SLAs and payment terms

  • Manage BOM cost, procurement budget and PPV

  • Support NPI, tooling, production pricing and volume ramp

  • Manage supplier risk, lead times and capacity

  • Coordinate logistics, customs and trade requirements

  • Manage Last Time Buy, buffer stock and excess inventory

  • Track procurement KPIs and supplier performance

  • Support ECO cost analysis and commercial renegotiation

  • Ensure supplier compliance and contractual protections

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years in procurement, sourcing or supply chain

  • Engineering experience or strong technical engineering exposure

  • Electronics, semiconductor or high tech manufacturing experience

  • EMS supplier experience, ideally Flex, Celestica, Jabil or similar

  • Strong contract and commercial negotiation experience

  • RFQ/RFP, sourcing strategy and supplier selection

  • BOM costing, PPV and spend analysis

  • Supply chain risk and cost management

  • Understanding of component and EMS commercial models

  • Ability to read technical specifications and BOMs

  • ERP experience, SAP or similar

  • English fluent

Optional / Desired

  • RISC V industry exposure

  • Engineering degree or technical background

  • Master degree or procurement qualification

  • RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals and ITAR/EAR knowledge

  • Spanish

  • ERP implementation experience

  • APJ and international logistics experience

  • Experience in a scale up or rapidly growing manufacturing environment
