The GPO (Global Product Organization) team at Motorola Solutions is seeking a multidisciplinary Designer who is passionate about the same things we are: future-facing technology, tackling complex problems, and the power of Design to make a difference in the lives of an incredible Mission Critical user group (including Police, Fire, and EMS) as well as Mission Essential commercial markets. Job Description As Product Designer on our Design team, you will bridge the gap between user research, high-fidelity UI design, and cutting-edge artificial intelligence. You will own the design process end-to-end, leveraging AI to accelerate your workflow while designing next-generation, AI-driven experiences for our users. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Design Delivery: Envision, prototype, and deliver comprehensive software solutions for in-field users across government, public safety, and enterprise sectors. Hands-on User Research: Plan, conduct, and synthesize user research and usability testing to uncover deep user insights and validate design decisions. High-Fidelity UI & Systems Design: Create pixel-perfect UI designs and actively contribute to, maintain, and build components within our global Design System. AI-Driven Workflow Integration: Utilize AI tools to optimize the end-to-end research, ideation, prototyping, and delivery pipeline. AI Product Design: Design and deliver intuitive, human-centric interfaces for AI-based features and products, ensuring complex AI behaviors are transparent, trustworthy, and easy to use. Collaborative Innovation: Facilitate design sprints, brainstorming sessions, and workshops to help drive the company's long-term product vision. Basic Requirements Mandatory Requirements Proven UX Research Experience: Strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on experience planning, executing, and translating user research into actionable design strategies. AI-Powered UX Design Workflow: Experience actively using AI tools (e.g., LLMs, AI-driven synthesis, wireframing, or prototyping tools) to streamline the research-to-delivery lifecycle. UI Design & Component Creation: Advanced visual design skills with practical experience building, scaling, and maintaining component libraries and design systems (e.g., Figma). Delivering AI Experiences: A proven track record of designing and launching actual products or features powered by AI (e.g., predictive UI, smart recommendation engines, NLP search). Strong Collaboration & Storytelling: Ability to present complex ideas clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and developers. Multi-modal Design: Experience designing for mobile and web applications Nice-to-Haves Agentic AI Design Experience: Experience designing workflows, trust-building UI, and feedback loops for autonomous AI agents or multi-agent systems. Portfolio Requirement: You must provide a link to a digital portfolio showcasing your end-to-end design process, research synthesis, design system components, and AI-related design work to be considered for this role. Basic Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a design-related field (UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, etc.) plus 3+ years of professional experience (or a Master's degree plus 2+ years of experience).
