About Our Client
Our client is a regulated fintech based in Zurich building the operating system for private markets. Legal, financial and tax workflows, all in one platform. Their customers are VC firms, asset managers, family offices and the investment arms of private banks.
The pitch is simple: private markets today are where public markets were 30 years ago. Deals still need notaries to sign contracts. Most of the process runs on email, PDFs and spreadsheets. Our client is fixing that.
They're a team of 20, backed by around $7M in private funding, and expanding their licenses across multiple jurisdictions. They grow on purpose, not at any cost: the plan is to reach around 35 people by the end of 2027. Every hire matters.
The role
Our client is opening two complementary product roles, both reporting to the CTO. This one is the finance-first side. You'll work alongside a Product Architect who owns product direction, and you'll turn that direction into structured, tested systems that actually work in a regulated environment.
In practice, you'll be the person who understands how a private markets workflow really works, from the legal mechanics to the operational reality, and can turn it into something the engineering team can build. You'll talk to customers, align with legal, compliance and operations, prototype fast, and own the system end to end until it's in production and proven.
What You'll Do
Location
EU nationality or a valid Swiss/EU residency permit is required. The setup is partially remote with travel to Zurich around once a month. Candidates based in Southern Europe who are open to relocating to Zurich are especially welcome, and relocation support is provided.
Compensation
Our client is looking to have this person on board by mid-November 2026 or January 2027. No December starts, as Q4 is their busiest quarter.

What You'll Do
- Map complex financial, legal and market workflows and decide where they should be simplified, automated or redesigned, not just documented
- Write specifications precise enough to build from: states, rules, data requirements, permissions, controls, edge cases and failure modes
- Go from idea to testable prototype quickly, and validate it with customers before engineering time is committed
- Design and build AI-driven product workflows as a core part of the platform
- Work directly with customers on discovery and implementation, separating one-off requests from recurring product problems
- Build the analytics and feedback loops that show how the product is used and where it breaks
- Own QA and evaluation for financial, legal and AI-driven workflows, including regression and human control
- Hands-on experience building financial products for private markets. This is the non-negotiable
- A strong technical background and a track record of shipping production systems
- Enough financial and legal depth to reason about securities, fund structures and regulated processes on your own
- Comfort turning messy, ambiguous problems into clean specs and systems
- Experience designing AI-driven product workflows
- A rigorous approach to testing, QA and analytics
- Good product judgement, and the confidence to push back on low-value or overly complex solutions
- Experience in environments where correctness, security, compliance and auditability matter

- 100–120€K base
- Around $50K in ESOP per year
- Relocation support
- Swiss tax rate of around 12%
