Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, definition, and lifecycle management of RF, DSP, FPGA, and mixed-signal embedded COTS solutions. This high-visibility role combines deep engineering knowledge with product strategy, working across engineering, sales, customers, and leadership to bring rugged, mission-critical products from concept through launch and lifecycle management.

How You'll Contribute

  • Own and maintain the product strategy for RF, DSP, and FPGA solutions within the broader product portfolio.
  • Develop multi-year product roadmaps informed by customer needs, technology trends, competitive intelligence, and business objectives.
  • Translate complex system-level requirements and engineering tradeoffs into product strategies, product definitions, and actionable requirements.
  • Define product concepts and support the new product introduction process from initial requirements through commercialization and launch.
  • Develop business cases for new products and present investment recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Partner with engineering teams to define product requirements, technical differentiation, architectures, and development priorities.
  • Evaluate competitive products, technologies, architectures, and relevant embedded computing form factors.
  • Manage product-line financial performance, including revenue, cost, profitability, investment priorities, and portfolio lifecycle decisions.
  • Work with sales teams, customers, and partners to understand market requirements and identify new product opportunities.
  • Participate in customer engagements and provide technical support during complex RF, DSP, FPGA, and embedded-system discussions.
  • Develop technical presentations, product collateral, training materials, and other product communications.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend product enhancements, investments, or lifecycle changes.
  • Support secure customer engagements when required.
  • Influence cross-functional teams and drive positive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Communicate complex RF, DSP, FPGA, and embedded technologies effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in RF, DSP, FPGA, embedded electronics, or related defense and embedded technology markets.
  • Strong technical understanding of FPGA architectures, RF systems, and digital signal processing.
  • Strong understanding of the complete RF-to-digital signal chain, including RF front ends, data converters, FPGA processing, and DSP.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand real-world hardware implementations, not solely theoretical RF or DSP concepts.
  • Experience with embedded electronics and/or embedded software.
  • Experience evaluating system-level technical tradeoffs involving performance constraints, architecture, cost, manufacturability, and reliability.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into product requirements, product definitions, and business cases.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering, sales, customers, suppliers, and executive leadership.
  • Previous product management experience with FPGA, DSP, RF, mixed-signal, or embedded computing products is preferred.
  • Direct experience designing products involving FPGA, DSP, and RF or mixed-signal technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with rugged embedded computing, COTS products, defense, aerospace, or other high-reliability applications is preferred.
  • Experience developing multi-year product roadmaps, product strategies, and executive-level investment proposals is preferred.
  • Experience with NPI/NPD launches and product lifecycle management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with military standards and defense product requirements development is preferred.
  • Experience delivering customer-facing technical presentations, product demonstrations, and strategic engagements is preferred.
  • Experience managing product profitability, revenue, costs, and portfolio performance is preferred.
