Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

Join one of Australia's premier underground mining operations and play a key role in the success of our world class block cave mine.

As a Production Engineer (Block Cave) at Northparkes Operations, you'll be responsible for optimising underground production performance through draw control, short term planning and operational support. Working closely with Technical Services and Underground Operations, you'll help maximise ore recovery, monitor cave health and ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

This is an exceptional opportunity to build specialist expertise in block cave mining while gaining exposure to autonomous mining technologies, advanced planning systems and one of the most technically sophisticated underground mining environments in Australia.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer - Block Cave, you'll:

  • Manage daily draw control and production schedules to optimise reserve extraction and cave performance.
  • Monitor production results and identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity and ore recovery.
  • Analyse production, material handling and automation system performance to support operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with Underground Operations to ensure effective execution of production plans.
  • Deliver accurate reporting, forecasting and technical recommendations to support business objectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning, scheduling and cave management activities.

Why Northparkes Operations?

Big things are happening at Northparkes. With our E22 Underground Project underway, we’re entering an exciting phase of growth that will underpin an extended mine life underground. This is your opportunity to be part of a career defining project, build new capabilities and contribute to one of Australia’s most exciting block cave development projects. At Northparkes, you don’t have to choose between a great career and a great lifestyle; you’ll get both. With flexible work options, opportunities to grow and a team that cares, this is where your bright future starts.

We support, develop and reward you to ensure you have a bright future. Here’s how we back that up:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across technical and operational teams.
