Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division is currently seeking a 1st shift Production Supervisor to join our team. This position is based in Youngsville, NC. Relocation assistance is available.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview:
As a Production Supervisor, you will be an integral member of Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) Operations Team, with responsibilities to plan, coordinate, supervise and motivate the activities of all employees of the assigned product lines at the Youngsville Plant Operations (YPO). In addition, you will utilize the employees assigned to other product lines to meet or exceed our safety, quality, delivery, cost and efficiency goals, while assisting the Operations Manager in implementing plant wide initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:
• You will provide direct supervision for production employees in assigned area.
• You will participate in employment, staffing and performance management decisions, and maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance.
• You will provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development.
• You will drive plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives stemming from YPO Key Projects and others as deemed by the Plant Managers.
• You will maintain all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules.
• You will develop and implement schedules and manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan.
• You will plan and prioritize departmental as well as plant wide production schedules based on customer delivery dates, efficiencies, and material supplies.
• You will monitor departmental and plantwide productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded.
• You will also perform all duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Eaton and employee objectives and/or goals.
• You will champion the use of Eaton systems and tools to ensure appropriate execution within assigned areas.
• You will engage employees in manufacturing lean initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving.
• You will implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture.
• You will foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
• You will communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced.
• You will communicate effectively with other departments to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or 5 years’ experience in direct leadership in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 1 year of direct supervisory experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Lean Manufacturing experience/certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• SAP experience

• Ability to successfully interface with all organizational levels & departments
• Good understanding and positive support of standard personnel and administrative policies, practices and legal requirements pertaining to business operations
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, manage through conflict, and strive for continuous improvement
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems and engineering processes.
• Must be open and available to work weekend overtime as needed.
• Required working knowledge and experience with computers.
