Bring together your passion and expertise in geoscience with skills in data science to help uncover the mineral and energy potential of the Northern Territory.

• Help unlock the Northern Territory’s resource potential by conducting innovative geoscientific studies and delivering pre-competitive geoscience products
• Transform Territory-scale geoscience data to generate new insights for mineral, petroleum, and natural gas explorers
• Integrate geological, geospatial, and data science knowledge to better understand the nature and formation of Northern Territory geology

The Northern Territory offers an exceptional opportunity to work across vast, diverse and underexplored geological regions. Join the Northern Territory Geological Survey and transform complex geological, geophysical, and geochemical information into new exploration insights using your geological, data science, programming, and geospatial skills. You will develop innovative approaches to data integration, analysis and visualisation to support mineral and energy explorers across the Territory.

This opportunity will suit a geologist who enjoys solving complex problems, working collaboratively and applying emerging analytical, computational and AI techniques to extract meaningful insights from geoscientific data.

Located in Darwin or Alice Springs, the role offers 12% superannuation, six weeks recreational leave, three weeks personal leave and 17.5% annual leave loading. Relocation assistance may be provided.
