Project Director - Dubai - Major Civils Infrastructure Project

Future Build Recruitment is working with an established international construction group to appoint an experienced Project Director for a major airport expansion programme in Dubai.

This significant infrastructure project will involve extensive runway construction, upgrades to existing airfield infrastructure and associated heavy civil engineering works.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the programme and delivery of the project, working closely with the Operations Director to establish the delivery strategy, build the project team and ensure successful execution.

This represents an excellent opportunity to lead a globally significant infrastructure scheme with long-term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction across all aspects of project delivery.
• Develop and execute the project delivery strategy and construction programme.
• Build, manage and lead a multidisciplinary project team.
• Take responsibility for programme, budget, quality, safety and contractual performance.
• Oversee major runway and associated infrastructure works.
• Manage senior client, consultant and subcontractor relationships.
• Identify and manage project risks, resources and delivery challenges.
• Provide regular performance and programme reporting to the Operations Director.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive senior management experience within major civil engineering or infrastructure construction.
• A proven track record of successfully leading large, complex construction projects.
• Experience delivering airport infrastructure, runway works or comparable heavy civil engineering schemes.
• Strong programme management, commercial awareness and leadership capabilities.

A relevant degree and previous Middle East experience would be advantageous, but are not essential for candidates with exceptional, directly relevant project experience.
