Job Summary

We are looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of allocated projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, to the required quality standards and with the targeted commercial outcome.

The role covers both technical and operational delivery, as well as client relationships, project financial performance, variations, claims, invoicing and the effective coordination of internal and external resources.

Candidate Requirements

• B.Eng Mechanical Engineering.
• Background within marine or industrial environments.
• Experience in on-site roles liaising with clients, workforce and subcontractors.
• English speaking.
• Italian or French would be considered an asset.
• Ideally someone looking to step up or scale up from their current role.
• Freedom of movement within the EU.
• Valid driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, coordinate and control internal and external resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Take overall responsibility for project performance against agreed scope, programme, quality, safety and commercial targets.
• Act as the principal point of contact for allocated clients, managing communication, expectations and issue resolution.
• Prepare, maintain and monitor project programmes, budgets, resource requirements and progress reports.
• Identify project risks and opportunities early and work with senior management to implement appropriate actions.
• Identify changes in scope and prepare, negotiate and secure variation orders and change orders where required.
• Monitor project costs, revenue and gross margin, taking corrective action where performance deviates from target.
• Identify, evaluate and appoint suitable subcontractors and suppliers.
• Negotiate commercially favourable terms while ensuring technical, quality and delivery requirements are met.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance and take corrective action where required.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures, contractual requirements and applicable legislation.
• Lead regular project progress meetings with customers, employees, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure project completion documentation is prepared and submitted promptly.
• Obtain formal client acceptance and project sign-off.
• Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned.
• Support quotations, proposals and tenders.
• Contribute to the development of new and existing customer relationships.

• Build professional, constructive and long-term relationships with customers.
• Take ownership of specific technical or operational matters as directed by senior management.
