Technical Project Manager – Spacecraft Hardware Programme (Paris)

No space experience needed.

€66,000–€80,000 gross, plus equity - We can offer Visa Sponsorship

A NewSpace company in Paris is looking for an engineer who has shipped complex hardware to own delivery of its flagship programme.

You'll report directly to the VP of Engineering.

Satellites need far more power than they used to. The company designs, builds and tests the power hardware that meets that need, in-house, and is scaling towards series production.

The engineering team invents the hardware. You make sure it ships.

Some of the best people for this role will come from outside space: automotive, motorsport, robotics, medical devices, defence or consumer hardware. Your industry matters less than how you think. We're looking for someone who works from first principles, owns the outcome and questions how things are usually done.

What you'll do

- Own end-to-end execution of the programme: scope, schedule, budget, risk and integration across design, manufacturing, supply chain and test.

- Build and own the integrated master schedule. Find the critical path and keep it moving.

- Work backwards from supplier lead times so integration and delivery dates hold.

- Drive technical trade decisions with the engineering leads.

- Run daily and weekly programme stand-ups. Escalate early.

- Set up change and configuration control for flight and ground hardware, and make it stick as build rates rise.

- Build production ramp plans, capacity models and cost-down roadmaps as the factory scales.

- Report programme KPIs directly to the exec team.

- Mentor junior project engineers.

What we're looking for

- An engineering degree. You started as an engineer and have built, integrated or tested hardware yourself.

- Ownership of a complex hardware programme, including its schedule: critical path, milestones, dependencies and reporting to leadership.

- Hardware delivered against a fixed date: a launch, a customer delivery or a start of production.

- Experience of change and configuration control on built hardware, and the judgement to know when process helps and when it gets in the way.

- Evidence that you've done something new: a process you invented, a timeline you compressed, a problem others had written off. Patents or publications are a bonus.

- Professional English. French is a plus, not a requirement.

Nice to have

- Taking hardware from development builds into series production.

- Capacity modelling, budgeting or cost-down roadmaps.

- MS Project, Smartsheet or similar.

Around 5 years' experience is a guide, not a rule. What you delivered matters more than how long you've been working.

This role isn't for someone who tracks a schedule another person owns. It's for someone who owns the outcome.

  • On-site in Paris. Permanent contract.
