IT STARTS HERE

Santander (www.santander.com) is evolving from a global, high-impact brand into a technology-driven organisation, and our people are at the heart of this journey. Together, we are driving a customer-centric transformation that values bold thinking, innovation, and the courage to challenge what’s possible.

This is more than a strategic shift. It’s a chance for driven professionals to grow, learn, and make a real difference.

Our mission is to contribute to help more people and businesses prosper. We embrace a strong risk culture and all our professionals at all levels are expected to take a proactive and responsible approach toward risk management.

Retail & Commercial Banking is a global business integrating all our retail and commercial banking activities to better serve our customers, improve efficiency and drive value creation.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

Make a difference to how millions of customers experience their banking with Santander.

We’re looking for a delivery-focused Project Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring Essential Customer Communications are ready to support the migration of TSB customers, based out of Bradford or Unity Place, Milton Keynes.

Working across Business, Product, Technology and Operations, you’ll bring teams together to turn complex migration requirements into clear plans and coordinated activity, helping ensure Santander is ready for a successful customer migration over the next 12 months.

You’ll drive readiness across key areas of the migration journey – clarifying requirements, coordinating dependencies, supporting the development and testing of required functionality, and ensuring teams are prepared for migration.

This will include supporting readiness for Essential Customer Communications, while identifying opportunities to improve the experience for both migrating TSB customers and existing Santander customers.

You’ll play an important role in connecting teams, resolving challenges and maintaining momentum, helping deliver a simple, consistent and customer-focused migration experience.

We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading delivery from requirements through to implementation, working across Business, Product, CCM IT and Operations to ensure requirements are clear, complete and translated into effective technical solutions.

  • Owning and coordinating a complex portfolio of change, including the requirements for approximately 1,000 customer communication templates, managing dependencies, priorities and capacity to maintain a healthy and predictable delivery pipeline.

  • Driving migration readiness, removing blockers, coordinating activity and ensuring the required functionality and communications capabilities are ready to support TSB customers through migration and beyond.

  • Championing quality and the customer experience, bringing the TSB and Santander customer voice into decision-making and ensuring testing aligns with business requirements and technical design.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve customer communications, working with teams to create a consistent and effective Tone, Look and Feel for migrating TSB customers while delivering benefits for existing Santander customers.

  • Providing strong governance and transparency, maintaining clear plans, dashboards and senior-level reporting on progress, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Our people are our greatest strength. Every individual contributes unique perspectives that make us stronger as a team and as an organisation. We’re enabling teams to go beyond by valuing who they are and empowering what they bring.

The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for success in this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Professional Experience

  • Experience of working across Business and Technology teams, confidently contributing to discussions and translating complex business and technical requirements into clear actions and outcomes. (Required)

  • Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to build effective relationships across different teams and levels of an organisation. (Required)

  • Experience of managing complex change or delivery, ideally within banking, financial services or another regulated environment. (Required)

  • Knowledge or experience of customer communications, including content development, change processes, systems or fulfilment. (Preferred)

Hard Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, alongside experience of delivery and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence. (Required)

  • Experience of customer communication or content management platforms. (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of tools such as Quadient Inspire, Adobe Workfront or Digital Asset Management platforms would be beneficial. (Preferred)

Soft Skills

  • Comfortable working in a complex, fast-moving environment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, analyse information and get into the detail of complex designs when required. (Required)

  • Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to managing delivery, resolving issues and balancing competing priorities. (Required)

  • Strong customer focus and a continuous improvement mindset, proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, digital customer journeys and the overall customer experience. (Preferred)
