What we’re looking for We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Project Procurement Manager to own all procurement activities for our hardware programs, from initial design to series production. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, BOM cost, and the supply chain that keeps our line fed. This is a role with real ownership and a clear path into leadership: you start as the single point of contact for procurement in your program and build your own team as we scale. You represent Procurement in steering committees, you drive the commercial decisions, and you are the first point of escalation when a supplier becomes a bottleneck. The day-to-day End-to-end project procurement:drive all procurement activities for your project packages, from early design through qualification to series production. Early supplier involvement and target costing:work with Engineering from the first concept on BOM cost, technicalfeasibilityand supplierselection, and make design-to-costand design-to-scalea real decision criterion. Commercial leadership:run RFQs, commercial evaluations and negotiations on price, terms,IPand liability, and close the contracts for our high-value components. Process and data governance:build fast-track procurement workflows that scale withus, andown the EBOM to MBOM conversion in the ERP, includingmasterdatamanagement, config management, batchcontroland traceability. Risk, budget and supply chain:monitorthe procurement critical path, define mitigation strategies like dual-sourcing and buffering, own the project budget and KPIs, and report status straight to management. Central Interface & Steering:Serve as the core procurement interface between Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and external suppliers. Compliance: secure adherence to export control regulations, traceabilityrequirementsand ISO 9001 / AS/EN 9100 aerospace standards. You should apply if you Education: You have completed a degree in engineering or vocational training as an industrial clerk, business administration or supply chain management, mechanical or electrical engineering, logistics, procurement and materials management, or a comparable technical or commercial field. Experience: You bring several years in project or technical procurement in a hardware environment, ideally aerospace, defense, automotive or electronics, including at least one ramp-up from prototype to series. Commercial strength: You negotiate high-value contracts confidently and are comfortable arguing price, terms, IP and liability with suppliers and with your own management. Technical fluency: You read a BOM and drawings, you speak the language of engineers and production, and you are able to translate technical requirements into sourcing decisions. Systems and standards: You have worked hands-on with ERP and BOM structures, and export control, traceability and ISO 9001 or AS/EN 9100 are familiar territory. Mindset: You like building the system, not inheriting it. You are comfortable in a fast-moving startup where the process does not exist yet, and you communicate clearly in German and English. Nice to haves Leadership ambition: first experience leading buyers or a small procurement team, or the clear wish to build one. Critical commodities: background in EMS, electronics, batteries, optics or additive manufacturing. Defense exposure: experience with defense or dual-use programs and their export control logic.
