Lead a portfolio of exceptional residences to the standard of the world’s finest hotels.
We are seeking an experienced Property Director to oversee a portfolio of luxury residences for a private client, anchored by a primary home in London with additional properties across Europe and the Middle East.
This is a senior leadership role focused on management, coordination and standards, not on doing everything yourself. You’ll lead an established household team, direct trusted contractors and advisors, and make sure every residence runs flawlessly and cost-effectively, whether the family is in residence or preparing to arrive.
If you combine luxury hospitality standards with strong commercial judgement and a calm, organised leadership style, this is a rare opportunity to make the role your own.
Location & Working Arrangement
- Base: London. The London residence is your main place of work
- Self-managed schedule: There are no fixed hours. You organise your own day and your team’s around the family’s needs, typically starting between 7:00 and 9:00
- On-site presence: Your presence at the residence is expected while the family is in London. When processes are running smoothly and nothing requires you in person, you don’t need to be on site every day
- Working week: Monday to Friday, with weekends off. You remain reachable by phone and messaging for urgent matters, and on rare occasions may be asked to come in for an emergency
- Remote coordination: A butler is always on site, so many practical matters can be handled remotely through the household team
- Travel: Regular trips to prepare residences in the UAE and Cyprus before the family arrives, plus an annual trip to the Alps to set up a seasonal chalet. You decide how many days on site each trip requires
- Getting started: The role begins with a two-week trial period, during which you’ll get to know the residence, the team and existing processes. Hotel accommodation near the residence can be arranged during the trial if needed
What You’ll Do
Residence Operations & Standards
- Ensure every residence operates to the standards of a world-class luxury hotel
- Conduct regular property inspections to maintain compliance, operational excellence and impeccable presentation
- Prepare residences abroad ahead of the family’s arrival and bring each one up to the family’s standards
Household Team Leadership
- Lead an established, shift-based household team, including butlers, chefs, housekeepers, a gardener and a handyman
- Plan staff rotations around the family’s schedule, with one core team that travels with the family between residences
- Recruit, train and develop household staff as the team grows
- Work closely with the security team and other support functions
Projects, Maintenance & Renovations
- Assess the condition of each property and define the work required, drawing on independent experts where helpful
- Source and vet contractors, run tenders where possible, and negotiate the best commercial terms
- Propose and manage project budgets, and control timelines and quality from start to finish
- Oversee current projects, including a partial renovation of the London residence and the management of leased properties abroad
Budgets, Leases & Advisors
- Oversee property budgets and operating expenses with a careful, value-driven approach to spending
- Manage lease agreements and liaise with legal, financial, tax and insurance advisors on property matters
- Occasionally search for and evaluate new properties, with the support of professional brokers
Your First 3 Months
- Complete a full technical check-up of the London residence
- Build a plan and budget for necessary repairs and works
- Select and onboard reliable suppliers
- Plan household team rotations for the season ahead
- Handle day-to-day ad hoc matters efficiently and bring forward ideas to raise quality and efficiency across the household
REQUIREMENTS
You’ll be a great fit if you bring:
- At least 5 years’ experience in luxury residential property management in a senior role
- Strong knowledge of the London luxury residential market, including contractors, suppliers, service providers and local regulations
- An established network within the premium real estate and property services sector
- Proven experience leading household or hospitality teams
- Solid project management skills, including renovations and working with contractors and tenders
- Experience with budgeting, reporting and property management systems
- A strong understanding of property regulations, compliance and best practice
- Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
- Fluent English and Russian
- Based in London, or able to relocate
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis, with the ability to travel to the UAE, Cyprus and across Europe without restriction
Why Join Us?
- Autonomy and trust. No rigid schedule or requirement for constant on-site presence
- Comprehensive support. A dedicated assistant, plus central support with procurement, administration, documentation, payments and staff travel logistics
- Focus on what matters. Use brokers, contractors and independent experts where needed, so you can lead rather than do everything yourself
- Weekends off. Monday to Friday as standard
- Flexible engagement. Choice of UK employment, a B2B contract or a consultancy agreement
- All travel covered. Accommodation, per diem, local transport, visas, communications and insurance paid for all trips outside the UK
- Competitive compensation with a clear review after the initial period
- Long-term opportunity within a collaborative, multicultural international team
If you’re an experienced property leader who thrives on high standards and smart, efficient operations, we’d love to hear from you.
