Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing clinical management for children, adults, and families. This physician will provide clinical leadership within an integrated behavioral health environment while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including medical, social, personal, and psychiatric history and mental status assessments.
- Diagnose and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions across pediatric and adult populations.
- Establish differential diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medication management and monitor patient response and progress.
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic information.
- Determine the need for psychiatric hospitalization and coordinate admissions when necessary.
- Provide emergency/on-call psychiatric services for crisis situations as needed.
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, clinical, residential, educational, and community professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Communicate with patients, families, agencies, and other providers regarding treatment, medications, progress, and aftercare.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MD degree required.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Completion of a one-year internship and three-year psychiatric residency.
- Demonstrated competency in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in integrated or community behavioral health.
- Experience supervising APPs, students, or multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience treating complex behavioral health conditions.
- Ability to provide care to both pediatric and adult populations preferred.
Work Environment
Professional behavioral health and integrated healthcare setting with in-person clinical care, team collaboration, and consultation.
