In this role, you will oversee the requisition of goods and services across key global sites, ensuring supply continuity while optimizing procurement workflows. Optimize Purchasing Channels: Ensure contracts and Purchase Orders (POs) are accurately assigned to preferred suppliers while actively promoting e-catalogue (Ariba) adoption and automated buying channels. Ensure Supply Continuity: Place POs, obtain order confirmations, and expedite orders to guarantee on-time delivery for business-critical operations. Track Supplier Performance: Monitor ongoing supplier performance and escalate concerns or opportunities to strategic buyers and category managers. Stakeholder Support & Collaboration: Serve as first-level support for Accounts Payable (AP) and Ariba helpdesk inquiries, acting as a trusted liaison between requisitioners, cost center owners, and suppliers. Sourcing Alignment: Redirect requisitions based on sourcing strategies and ensure strict adherence to Lonza purchasing policies and quality standards. Continuous Growth & Improvement: Contribute to a culture of process improvement and problem-solving, sharing knowledge generously across the procurement team. What We Are Looking For Work Experience: 4+ years of proven experience in procurement and order management within a global or multi-site corporate environment. Education & Qualifications: Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). System Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba, e-catalogue management, and automated PO workflows. Customer & Quality Focus: Strong dedication to internal customer service with a demonstrated ability to enforce purchasing policies while keeping operations smooth. Business Acumen & Agility: Understanding of operational impact on business goals, paired with a proactive mindset toward solving process bottlenecks. Communication Skills: Business-fluent English proficiency (spoken and written) with strong interpersonal skills to manage varied stakeholder relationships effectively.
