Description Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A seeks a full-time Purchasing Agent at our Consumer Products manufacturing facility in Lincoln, NE. Responsibilities of Purchasing Agent: Perform a variety of procurement functions to obtain the highest quality goods and services, including machinery, equipment, tooling, repairs and parts, in order to achieve the optimum value for the organization Evaluate, coordinate and monitor shipments to ensure efficient operation while maintaining quality and cost Manage the acquisition of assigned commodities from concept to completion and managed supplier performance as it relates to quality, delivery, cost and service Correspond with internal customers and outside supplies to ensure procurement related requirements are met Purchasing functions, such as, quoting, negotiating, placing orders, handling quality issues, follow up for on time delivery, expediting, maintaining purchasing budget Research and identify specialized resources inside or outside of the organization that will effectively meet the needs of the situation Qualifications for Purchasing Agent: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field preferred OR Equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years related experience Must be able to display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications, such as, Excel and Lotus Notes Experience with reading and comprehending blue prints and handling negotiations is preferred Perks for Purchasing Agent: Great work culture with career growth potential Excellent benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401(k), and many more Paid holidays, educational reimbursement, and flexible spending account available Employee discount for purchase of company products Company fitness center and wellness program available Educational and relocation reimbursements available Mission: Kawasaki, working as one for the good of the planet We are the Kawasaki Group, a global technology leader with diverse integrated strengths.
