Primary Location: China (CN) - Tianjin - Tianjin Function: Product Engineering (CA) Title: PVV Engineer - 123407 Your Position: Key Responsibilities Plan and execute PVV durability tests for major tractor structural components, including but not limited to frame, axles, housing, brackets, and mounting structures. Develop test plans, load cases, test cycles, and acceptance criteria based on product requirements, design specifications, and applicable standards. Independently design and validate test fixtures and tooling, ensuring proper load paths, boundary conditions, and test safety. Conduct bench, rig, or vehicle-level durability tests; monitor test progress and ensure data integrity and compliance with PVV processes. Analyze test results and investigate structural failures, identifying failure modes and root causes such as fatigue cracking, yielding, or joint failures. Collaborate with Design Engineering, CAE, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams to drive issue resolution and design improvements. Document test procedures, results, and conclusions in formal PVV reports and support design reviews and gate reviews. Required Skills &Technical Competencies Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or related discipline. Solid understanding of structural durability and fatigue fundamentals, including fatigue life concepts and influencing factors. Experience with durability testing of structural components in tractors, off-highway, or heavy equipment products. Proven ability to design test fixtures independently, with clear understanding of load application, constraints, and structural safety. Familiarity with common structural failure modes and failure analysis techniques. Knowledge of test instrumentation and measurement methods (strain, load, displacement, etc.). Core Competencies Strong hands-on capability and problem-solving skills in a test or lab environment. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical results clearly. Detail-oriented with strong focus on test quality, safety, and data accuracy. Ability to manage multiple test activities and work in a fast-paced development environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in agricultural machinery or off-highway equipment durability testing. Exposure to correlation between CAE and physical test results. Experience with PVV processes, product development gates, or design reviews. Background in structural failure analysis or durability improvement projects.
