Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Python, Django, FastAPI, AWS, and relational databases. The ideal candidate should have experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable backend applications, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based solutions.

Required Technical Skills

• Python: Strong hands-on experience with Python programming, OOP, data structures, exception handling, and multithreading.
• Backend Frameworks: Extensive experience developing applications using Django, Django REST Framework (DRF), and FastAPI.
• API Development: Strong expertise in RESTful APIs, API integration, authentication, authorization, and microservices architecture.
• AWS Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Databases: Strong SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, including query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures.
• ORM: Experience with Django ORM and SQLAlchemy.
• Microservices: Experience designing scalable, distributed backend services and asynchronous processing.
• DevOps: Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing: Experience with PyTest, unit testing, API testing, and debugging.
• Security: Understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, RBAC, and secure API development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python, Django, and FastAPI.
2. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise applications.
3. Build, deploy, and support cloud-native applications using AWS services.
4. Design database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and optimize database performance.
5. Implement authentication, authorization, exception handling, and API security.
6. Develop reusable, maintainable, and testable Python code following coding standards.
7. Integrate backend applications with third-party APIs and internal enterprise systems.
8. Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
9. Implement automated testing and participate in code reviews.
10. Troubleshoot application performance issues and production defects.
11. Collaborate with architects, frontend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
12. Support CI/CD automation, AWS deployments, application monitoring, and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with asynchronous programming using asyncio.
• Familiarity with Redis, Celery, and background task processing.
• Experience with AWS serverless architecture.
• Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
