Grade 2 Radiographer
Join The Royal Melbourne Hospital, one of Victoria’s largest and most respected healthcare providers, as a Grade 2 MRI Radiographer in our Medical Imaging team.
You’ll deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging across a range of MRI examinations, using your clinical expertise and judgement to manage diverse and complex patient presentations. With greater autonomy and responsibility, you’ll contribute to a safe, efficient and collaborative imaging service across multiple RMH sites.

You’ll deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging across a range of MRI examinations, using your clinical expertise and judgement to manage diverse and complex patient presentations. With greater autonomy and responsibility, you’ll contribute to a safe, efficient and collaborative imaging service across multiple RMH sites.
Key Accountabilities
As a Grade 2 MRI Radiographer, you will:
- Perform routine and specialised medical imaging procedures across RMH, Royal Park Radiology, and the Private Radiology Suite.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred imaging while maintaining safety and professional standards
- Ensure the safe and responsible use of ionising radiation and MRI equipment during examinations
- Supervise and support undergraduate and postgraduate students, Grade 1 Radiographers and MRI trainees
- Contribute to risk management, incident reporting and quality improvement activities
You are an experienced Radiographer with MRI expertise who brings strong clinical judgement, technical capability and a commitment to high-quality patient care. You will also bring:
- Current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA) or eligibility to obtain registration
- Eligibility to obtain a Victorian Radiation Use Licence issued by the Department of Health
- Previous MRI experience
- Postgraduate Certificate in MRI or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Strong commitment to patient safety, quality imaging and professional practice
- Ability to support students and colleagues through clinical supervision and education
