About The Role And Where You Will Be Working

Join our passionate BreastScreen NSW team as a Radiographer / Mammography Practitioner in this full-time, permanent role. Based across our Waratah and East Maitland (Green Hills) fixed sites and our mobile screening vans, you’ll provide vital breast screening and assessment services to women across the Hunter New England region, including rural and regional communities. You’ll enjoy the variety of working within both small mobile teams and larger multidisciplinary teams, while making a genuine difference to equitable access to breast health services. Open to Level 2 or Level 3 Radiographers and Mammography Practitioners, this role offers excellent support, in-house training and professional development, including the opportunity to attain a Certificate in Mammographic Practice.

About You

We’re looking for an empathetic, client-focused female Radiographer or Mammography Practitioner who is passionate about providing high-quality care and making a difference to women in our community. You’ll enjoy working as part of a supportive, cohesive and highly skilled multidisciplinary team, with a strong commitment to excellence in imaging and the BreastScreen Australia Program. Enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are key — we’re happy to provide training and support to the right candidate.

Requirements

Applicants must be female – exemption claimed under section 31 (2)(h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act.

Relevant qualifications in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent/Graduate Diploma of Mammography/ Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP) or willingness to complete.

Registered as a Medical Radiation Practitioner – Diagnostic Radiographer (General or Mammography registration) with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia where required.

Hold a current EPA IA 14M/ IA 14 radiation licence.

Current NSW Drivers Licence.

Available to work away on mobile screening vans for up to 6 days at a time

  • Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Available to work away on mobile screening vans for up to 6 days at a time
