Role Overview: This registered nurse (RN) position involves providing specialized patient care in a progressive care unit for adult heart and lung transplant patients and cardiac surgical cases.

- Deliver relationship-based nursing care, including physiologic monitoring, patient education, and discharge planning.
- Manage complex equipment such as temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, and central lines.
- Monitor patients' ECG rhythms, vital signs, and other vital parameters; detect and respond to arrhythmias.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to promote patient safety, independence, and emotional support.
- Support professional development, teamwork, shared governance, and evidence-based practice.
- Support new graduate nurses through the Nurse Residency Program and assist in exploring career development opportunities.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of one year RN experience.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Current RN licensure, BLS certification, and any required state or specialty certifications.
