Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care within a Hospital Internal Medicine unit, including management of acute and chronic conditions, discharge planning, and inpatient hospice care. The RN supports patient/family education, care transitions, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

- Perform direct patient care and support complex discharge planning.
- Mentor and lead through precepting and quality improvement initiatives.
- Delegate tasks based on skill level, patient acuity, and resources.
- Participate in committees and projects, demonstrating effective communication and leadership skills.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of one year RN experience; new graduates may apply through a dedicated residency program.
- Current RN license and BLS certification required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to unpredictable situations.
