Make a meaningful difference to children, young people and their families at J1, a dynamic 19-bed Paediatric Oncology and Surgical Unit at John Hunter Children’s Hospital. Care for children with complex medical, oncology, haematology and surgical needs while building your specialist paediatric nursing skills in a supportive, family-centred team. What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who is passionate about caring for children and families and eager to grow their paediatric nursing skills.

You’ll Bring

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Strong communication, teamwork and multidisciplinary skills
  • Sound clinical assessment, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • A commitment to learning and professional development
  • Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster, including morning, afternoon and night shifts

Paediatric or oncology experience is highly regarded, but not essential — we’ll support the right person to learn and grow in this rewarding specialty.
