THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE Commercial Banking is looking for a Relationship Manager based out MILTON KEYNES Whilst advertised as based out of Milton Keynes we are able to offer multiple alternative locations across the East and East Midlands including Derby, Chelmsford, Cambridge and Newark– please reach out to find out more. You will be joining an ambitious Team With great energy! As a Relationship Manager you will work within the Commercial Clients team supporting a portfolio of clients, assisting the Relationship Director in meeting OKRs. As well as strengthening existing client relationships you will actively support the generation and onboarding of new to bank clients. We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for: Supporting Relationship Directors with the day-to-day management of a portfolio of clients Supporting Relationship Directors and deal teams with new business opportunities with existing clients and new to bank prospects Demonstrating a client-focused approach, adopting a contact plan to identify and win new opportunities to deepen relationships, especially with growing internationally active businesses Working collaboratively within the Relationship Manager community to aid training, development and sharing best practice. To undertake Business Developpment activities to Support new business generation Raising the profile of the Santander Brand, building a robust network of coonections including Clients and prospects, KBIs and other members of the business and profesional community WHAT YOU’LL BRING Our people are our greatest strength. The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for success in this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Professional Experience Good understanding of Banking products and services. (Required) Proven record of providing high quality client experience in an external customer-facing role (Required) Experience in assessing client risk, notably financial crime and credit risk. (Required) Have or be working towards a relevant Financial Services qualification. (Preferred) Proven experience of working With Commercial businesses. (Preferred) Excellent presentation, negotiation, analytical, and report-writing skills. (Required) Experience of developing and driving a client contact / Business development plan, to deliver growth, (Preferred) Hard Skills Use of AI Tools such as chatgpt/Copilot (Required) Financial Crime/AML/KYC/KYB awareness – (Required) Use of CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) (Preferred) Use of key tools such as Excel, powerpoint (Preferred) Soft Skills Relationship building (Required) Collaboration across Teams (Required) Communication and influencing (Required) Problem solving under pressure (Required) Adaptability to changing priorities (Required) WE VALUE YOUR IMPACT At Santander, your contribution matters. Salary Range: £41,808.00 - £62,712.00 per annum (depending on experience) This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
