About Gloria Jeans
Gloria Jeans is one of the largest fashion retailers in its home markets, with a history dating back to 1988, when our founder registered one of the first jeans workshops in the country. From that single workshop in Rostov-on-Don, we grew into a leading fast-fashion group with over 600 stores across Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, more than 7,000 employees, and over $1 billion in annual revenue. We dress the whole family - style and quality at prices millions can afford.
Now we have moved our headquarters to the UAE and are rebuilding the business for international growth, with the GCC and Southeast Asia as our first priority markets, alongside a fast-scaling e-commerce business and new categories in Home and Beauty. Our ambition is to create a genuinely global fashion group and, over time, grow it into a $10 billion business. We are still founder-led and entrepreneurial: decisions here are made in days, not quarters.
The role
The Retail Planning Manager is the analytical and financial engine of the store network. The role owns store-level sales forecasting, store segmentation, capacity and stock-cover frameworks, and the monthly financial planning cycle delivered to Finance.
You will create and defend one reliable set of numbers for the entire network, establish the methodology used by every territory and arbitrate between territories when they compete for stock. You will lead a team of six and partner with Allocation, Distribution, Finance and Retail. The role is fully based in Dubai, with relocation and visa support provided.
What you will own
- Build annual, monthly and daily store-level sales forecasts and consolidate territory input into one company number.
- Maintain the seasonality model, like-for-like store master, and store opening, closure, reconstruction, area and count calendars.
- Forecast sales and KPIs for new stores and reconstructions, then compare actual results with the forecast.
- Own the planning methodology, templates, calendar and KPI definitions used by Area Store Planning Controllers.
- Verify the development plan, upload monthly forecasts into Anaplan and deliver the consolidated file to Finance.
- Calculate mark-up, write-offs and unit sales by store and reconcile them with central targets.
- Set store grading, capacity, weeks-of-supply, stock-cover and sell-through parameters.
- Set stock priorities and decide cross-territory transfers and reallocations.
- Prepare plan-versus-actual and network variance analysis, challenging assumptions not supported by data.
- Reconcile Store Planning, Demand Planning, Retail and Finance around one agreed source of numbers.
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of experience in store planning, retail financial planning, demand planning or a related analytical role.
- Hands-on experience with store budgeting and sales forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets.
- Strong analytical skills and experience turning data into commercial decisions.
- Experience with store segmentation, capacity planning, weeks of supply and stock-cover analysis.
- Knowledge of plan-versus-actual analysis, variance reporting and forecast-accuracy measurement.
- Experience with Anaplan or a comparable planning platform is an advantage.
- The ability to establish common planning standards and challenge territory assumptions constructively.
- Fast-fashion or other high-volume retail experience is an advantage.
- Native Russian and working English.
