Responsibilities The Nurse Educator in Behavioral Health will play a critical role in facilitating the professional development of Community Health System's (CHS) nursing staff and ancillary staff, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety in our Behavioral Health facility. This position involves planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs, as well as providing mentorship to nurses. Additionally, the Nurse Educator will actively engage in patient care to maintain clinical competence within these high-acuity settings. You will: Function as a clinical leader/expert in this particular specialty or subspecialty of nursing (behavioral health). Be responsible for coordinating orientation programs, continuing inservice education, and ongoing educational programs for the nursing staff. Work with unit management to organize and develop quality assurance projects. Collaborate and consults with other nurses and healthcare professionals to advance nursing practice and improve clinical outcomes. Qualifications Education • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or graduation from an accredited School of Nursing Experience • Approximately two years clinical experience in Dialysis.• Experience in patient and staff education development and implementation, quality improvement, program development and professional development required Licenses and Certifications • RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required• Additional unit specific requirements required Disclaimers • Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.• If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
