WORK SCHEDULE 100% FTE, 40 hours weekly Day shift, Mon-Fri DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Located in the Ninth & Jefferson building near Harborview Medical Center , the Neurology Clinic treats patients referred for disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems, including seizure disorders, peripheral neuropathies, and other neurological diseases. Our services include neurological assessment and recommendations for treatment. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Conveniently located near public transportation Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) to prioritize, delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients and families Make independent judgements/decisions and take action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care Participate in clinic and selected divisional activities to promote delivery problem solving and communication and continued professional development of self and others Assigned primarily with the Neurology Clinic with secondary support to Rehab Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, and Medical Operative Consult Clinics REQUIREMENTS Active WA State or Multi-State RN License by start date At least 2 years of inpatient or outpatient experience as an RN Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
