This role offers the opportunity to work on projects from concept through production, gaining hands-on experience in polymer processing, plastic part design, materials development, testing, and failure analysis.

What You'll Do
- Develop and evaluate new products, materials, and components
- Support product design from concept through commercialization and production
- Develop polymer formulations and evaluate material performance
- Coordinate prototyping, testing, validation, and pilot production
- Conduct and interpret thermal, mechanical, and chemical testing, including FTIR, DMA, DSC, TGA, and tensile testing
- Troubleshoot design, material, tolerance, and manufacturing issues
- Participate in supplier selection, tooling, and cost evaluations
- Lead or participate in cross-functional design reviews
- Prepare technical documentation and provide product training
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and suppliers
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Materials, Polymer, or Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience with rubber materials, rubber formulation, and rubber molding
- Knowledge of thermoplastic and thermoset materials, testing, and failure analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel globally up to 10 percent
- FEA experience with Abaqus or ANSYS
- Moldflow Insight experience
