This position is a full-time developmental role that will provide excellent growth potential and opportunities for advancement. The Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in helping the site to achieve this success. This position will report to the site Safety Manager and assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs to ensure personnel and facility safety. Participates in monitoring and controlling execution of the organization’s safety standards to ensure compliance with OSHA and State/Provincial regulations. Assists in the development and implementation of programs and record keeping systems to track and evaluate personnel injury and illnesses. Assists with internal audits and incident investigations and inspections of procedures, equipment, and materials. Qualifications Knowledge of OSHA regulations / requirements Passion for safety as demonstrated by a strong commitment to associate safety Knowledge of chemical and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) systems management Ability to build positive working relationships with hourly and salaried associates Proactive, assertive and ability to work with a sense of urgency Ability to plan, prioritize and work under pressure and meet deadlines Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of health & safety software programs High level of integrity, strong work ethic, good judgment, and problem-solving skills Willingness to work extended hours should a situation warrant All applicants must upload resume detailing education and job history Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree preferred with 2-5 years mill / safety committee experience Safety & industrial hygiene certification and/or training What We Offer: Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $50,100-$75,100 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary. Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
